" In order to love you need to be at home in yourself" ~ Eline Snel
Stephen's journey towards becoming the founder of Pathway To Somatic Healing, Inc. began 20 years ago, when he left his gratifying career as a woodworker to embark on a more holistic and spiritual path. Following his inner guidance, he completed a degree as a Holistic Health Practitioner and Oriental Bodywork Therapist from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1997. He also acquired 650 hours in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and additionally completed a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training in 2001. He feels very fortunate to have had such fine training, but he really learned most from every person he worked with.
In his early life he had longstanding episodes of chronic pain, which nudged him towards this mind-body healing path. Due to the lessons learned, and his new understanding of his own relationship with his body mind, he has been able to live pain free for many years now. As a result, he feels excited to help others understand and release patterns of dis-ease, physical and emotional pain, and other internal struggles.
In his free time, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, kayaking, meditation and Yoga, and of course, family time with his wife and two kids. He resides in Northern San Diego.
